this week is SO busy. school is very intense. we are in the process of wrapping up everything we have been doing for the semester so we have some huge assignments due. on top of that i have a writing exam for graduation tonight. on saturday i take the PRAXIS (test to get teaching certification) and best of all, my brother is coming home for a wedding. i haven't seen my brother since the week after christmas last year! it is insane to me that he has been gone for so long, but i am pumped to see him!
this picture would have been taken by a disposable after my camera dropped in the sand! oops! |
while the semester is coming to an end, i can't help but realize how fast "real life" is going to hit. in all honesty, i am excited to be finished with school. i don't want to wish my life away, but i can't wait until i can finally do what i have been called to do. sounds cliche, but it is so true. while i was on break from teaching today i was making a "big girl list."
- bank account
-resume
-graduation enrollment
-praxis.
writing these things down were unreal. i can't believe it's finally time to put this on paper. the professors recommend we should send our resume out in december, which means i could be interviewing for jobs in early spring. although that is so exciting, it is completely terrifying. if anyone wants to pray for the job search it would be greatly appreciated.
this semester has been one of the most challenging semesters yet. that is saying a lot since i have taken 19 hours since i've been back at semo. but, with that being said it has been so rewarding. God has blessed me with some of the greatest friends. it is so great to be surrounded by people in the same stage of life. i had lunch with one of my sweet friends amy yesterday and we both just realized how great of a time this is to just sit and enjoy. we are all about to accomplish a huge feat and we should enjoy it and not get stuck in the rut of everyday life. after lunch i left feeling on top of the world. ha. amy and i talked today and decided we couldn't let each other get out of this mentality. we want to finish strong and enjoy ourselves. there are only 20 days left in the semester and i am going to be sprinting through the finish line!
only 47 days until christmas! it's my favorite time of year and i can't wait for it to get here! i hope everyone is having a fantastic week.
7 But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. 8 We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. 10 We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.
2 corinthians 4:7-10
